The world of Art may greatly benefit from a medium like the Internet allowing art lovers and collectors to observe, at their home or business place, the works of art that merchants and authors show for their appreciation and possible acquisition. Morevover the size of the Net, rapidly reaching the number of 70,000,000 users mostly located in the same economic and cultural areas belonging to art collectors, may make the style and name of the artists familiar to the prospective customers of even a traditional purchase.
On the other hand the sheer number of web services, of different qualities and type, may make the user's navigation for her desired information overly complex, requesting her to find her way among more than 50,000,000 pages.

ArtNet Italia aims at presenting in the most attractive and targeted way a number of selected Italian artists and their works with the objective of giving users information and images of high quality and effective means for easily coming into contact with them either at their studios or at their real life exhibits all over the world.
Each Artist may have a review by an eminent critic online and is shown with the help of a sample of his production. Messages sent to the service will be forwarded to the artists by Artnet Italia at no expenses for both parties.

Artists join Artnet Italia on a personal basis or under the strict artist's supervision thus giving full certification on the originality of the works of art on display.
Moreover the much reduced costs artists face in our exhibit, with reference to the ones required by fairs' and galleries' operators, the drastic cut in the number of intermediaries and, currently, the low rate of the Italian Lira allow them to apply, in most cases, particularly interesting conditions for their works.

ArtNet Italia is currently in the process of adopting the regulations prescribed by the Italian Data Protection Act "Tutela delle persone e di altri soggetti rispetto al trattamento dei dati personali" connected to law n. 675 of December 31st, 1996.
